About Journal:

Coverage of emerging digital technology related to infrastructure assets.
Aims and scope
Smart infrastructure and construction combines physical infrastructure assets and construction processes with digital technologies. The resulting smart infrastructure can influence and direct its delivery, use, maintenance and support by responding intelligently to changes in its environment. Benefits include improved design and whole-life performance, as well as greater efficiency, economy, adaptability, and sustainability in the way infrastructure is delivered and operated.

Smart Infrastructure and Construction journal provides a learned forum for documenting changes caused by the global adoption of emerging digital technology in the design, construction and management of infrastructure assets. These radical changes will lead to greater efficiency, economy, adaptability and sustainability in the way our infrastructure is delivered and operated.

The journal considers contributions including but not limited to:

the application and development of smart and advanced materials
self-healing materials and structures
structural health monitoring with applications to civil infrastructures and their application frontiers
intelligent and integrated digital delivery
systems in infrastructure, construction and heritage assets
3D-printed smart materials and their applications
additive manufacturing
computer-aided structural integrity
digital twins.
This journal will facilitate the development of a professional community of academics and practitioners to apply and adopt the technologies, concepts and solutions to deliver smarter infrastructure construction and management.
