The international journal of laboratory animal science, technology, welfare and medicine, Laboratory Animals publishes peer-reviewed original papers, case reports, perspectives, and reviews on all aspects of the care and use of animals in research and the 3Rs principle. The journal seeks to promote the 3Rs principle, particularly looking at refinement for experimental procedures, animal care and welfare, promoting best culture of care and reduction and replacement approaches to improve scientific validity and reproducibility. This includes, but is not limited to, innovations in laboratory animals training and education, ethics, breeding and husbandry, veterinary medicine, procedures and care, animal unit facility management and biosafety developments.
