About Journal:

The global challenges facing the world today – as reflected in the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals – require researchers to focus more than ever before on the real world impact of their research. The Journal of Social Impact in Business Research provides an open access resource to facilitate development of our understanding of how this can be more effectively achieved.

The article processing charge (APC) will be waived for content submitted to this journal before 01 July 2025
Aims and scope
This open access journal broadens understanding of social impact. The AACSB has described societal impact as encompassing “…activities undertaken by business schools that over time lead to meaningful, discernible change for the betterment of people, economies and the environment” (AACSB and Societal Impact: Aligning With the AACSB 2020 Business Accreditation Standards, February 2023, p.2).

The Journal of Social Impact in Business Research (JSIBR) increases the understanding of researchers in respect of social impact and provides a forum to evaluate situations where impact has or hasn’t been achieved and facilitates learning from these examples. The journal raises awareness of key issues and builds bridges between the various stakeholders in relation to social impact – scholars, professionals, policy makers, end users.

The journal publishes research that develops theory on the social impact of business research or demonstrates the social impact of business research. The scope includes seven key disciplines associated with business schools:

Accounting and finance
Entrepreneurship
Economics
Information systems
International business
Marketing
Management.
