About Journal:
The International Journal of Qualitative Methods is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary open-access journal partnered with the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology (IIQM) at the University of Alberta, Canada.
The journal was established in 2002 as an eclectic and international forum for papers reporting original methodological insights, study design innovations, and funded-project proposals using qualitative or mixed methods research that are useful to the global research community.
Our goal is to publish on sound qualitative and mixed methods as they are used in research. This means we look for articles that discuss the use of qualitative and mixed methods that adheres to ethical standards, uses robust methodologies that are transparent and reproducible, and uses appropriate analyses to ensure clear, credible, and trustworthy results. These articles are intended to advance our use of qualitative and mixed methods. We care more about the quality of the contribution an article makes. We are especially interested in manuscripts that explore and report on the inclusion of silenced or marginalized voices, more equitable research practices, and impactful knowledge sharing for meaningful social change.
