Child & Family Behavior Therapy is a leading publication of child and adolescent behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy and family therapy providing needed information to an inclusive, international audience.

The aim of the journal is to facilitate the work of psychologists, psychiatrists, teachers, social workers, school counselors, family therapists, early intervention service providers, researchers, and other individual who work with children and families through publishing:

Ethical, high quality research papers
Open trials and randomized controlled trials
Brief and preliminary studies including basic research and laboratory studies that are relevant to advancing cognitive and behavioral therapy with youth and families

Position papers that make an argument based on the empirical literature

The journal seeks to further develop knowledge across a broad range of topics and issues focusing on:

Assessment and treatment utilizing behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, applied behavior analysis and family interventions

Strengthening family attachment, cohesion, and resilience
Interventions that improve children and adolescents’ academic performance
Increasing adaptive parenting skills
Validated evidence-based interventions garnered from around the world

Because of the applied focus of the journal on cognitive and behavioral therapy with children and families, authors are encouraged to frame all submissions in terms of the implications for behavioral and cognitive service providers who work with youth and families.
