About Journal:
Aims and scope
The Asia Europe Journal is a quarterly journal dedicated to publishing quality academic papers and policy discussions on both region-specific and common challenges facing Asia and Europe. The journal aims to foster rigorous academic dialogue and research on the multifaceted relationships between Asia and Europe. It serves as a platform for scholarship that examines the dynamics and complexities of Asia-Europe interactions, offering fresh insights into both historical and contemporary linkages.
The journal welcomes interdisciplinary research that spans fields such as:
Political science and international relations, focusing on governance, regional cooperation, and security
Economics and trade, addressing aspects like economic integration, policy analysis, and sustainable development
Cultural studies and sociology, exploring identity, migration, cultural exchange, and cross-cultural communication
Environmental studies and public health, with a focus on global challenges that demand collaborative approaches between Asia and Europe
The Authors are advised to consider the following points while assessing the suitability of their research for possible publication in the journal:
Relevance of the topic and research area, pertaining to one country/region or preferably to both regions – Asia and Europe
Reference to bi-regional implications, regional comparisons, or issues of bi-regional significance are explicitly welcomed
Issues of critical importance to any nation which may have lessons for other nations of the region are of interest as well
Contributions should be written in a manner that is accessible also to non-specialists and an interdisciplinary audience. This is required of papers that contain quantitative analyses as well.
The Asia Europe Journal provides a platform for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners interested in Asia-Europe relations, aiming to inform both the academic community and policy-making efforts. The journal encourages innovative research methodologies, comparative analyses, and case studies that deepen the understanding of Asia-Europe dynamics in a globalized world.
The Journal welcomes proposals from Guest Editors for special issues or special sections.
