Aims and scope
Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine is a peer reviewed open access journal of research and practice in psychosocial, behavioral, and biomedical health. It is the official journal of the European Health Psychology Society, an organization focused on helping individuals, families, and societies to better cope with life challenges related to illness and health, by promoting rigorous science, precise interventions, and close collaborations. The organization is based in Europe but has worldwide membership, and is engaged in interchange of information related to health psychology with other associations throughout the world. The journal seeks to help build capacity and provide access to health psychology research, particularly in areas where the discipline is in it’s infancy.

The primary focus of the journal is to provide access to essential new research for those involved in the study, teaching, or application of behavioral, psychological, social, and biological aspects of health and illness.
